Cochituate Cup

Where Fire and Ice Coexist

“On these frozen waters, we gather to show that fire and ice can coexist. Red with will and joy, we compete against our brothers for the right to hoist thee.”

– Cochituate Cup inscription –

On the frozen waters of Dudley Pond, Wayland hockey players battle each winter for the glory of raising the cherished Cochituate Cup, established 2013.

Teams of Wayland alumni and locals play small-area games to advance through the tournament bracket.

Honoring their pond-playing predecessors, players sport throwback jerseys featuring the same-styled “C” of the old semi-professional hockey team, the Cochituate Huskies.
